Piping isometric drawings are one of the most important forms of communication in industrial piping. They take a three-dimensional piping system and turn it into something that can be understood, fabricated, installed, checked, and discussed in the field.
But creating an isometric from scratch should not have to feel like operating a full engineering department.
That is the idea behind Ayso.
Næxon is officially introducing Ayso – Piping Isometric Generator, a browser-based industrial piping tool designed to make building piping isometric drawings faster, more visual, and more approachable.
Ayso is now live and available directly through Næxon.
Built Around the Way Piping Is Actually Routed
Ayso was designed around a simple idea: start at a connection point and build the piping system one component at a time.
Instead of forcing the user through complicated CAD commands, the workflow is visual. Choose the direction the piping needs to travel, place the next component, and continue building the spool.
The current version supports common piping components including:
- Straight pipe
- 90-degree elbows
- 45-degree elbows
- Tees
- Flanges
- Valves
- Reducers
- Caps
The drawing automatically follows isometric axes, helping maintain the familiar geometry used on industrial piping isometrics.
Users can select directions including northeast, southeast, northwest, southwest, up, and down before adding the next component.

A Live Isometric Workspace
The center of Ayso is its live isometric drawing environment.
As components are added, the piping system develops visually on the workspace. Rather than entering an entire system before seeing the result, the user can watch the spool take shape as it is built.
The basic workflow is intentionally straightforward:
- Select the pipe size, schedule, units, and pipe length.
- Choose the direction of the next run.
- Add a pipe, fitting, valve, flange, reducer, or termination.
- Continue routing from the active connection.
- Select components when modifications are needed.
- Rotate, flip, move, continue, or delete components as the drawing develops.
This makes Ayso useful not only for creating a drawing but also for visualizing how a proposed piping arrangement fits together.
Made for Pipefitters, Welders, Fabricators, and Industrial Crews
Ayso is not intended only for engineers or professional CAD operators.
It was developed as part of the growing collection of Næxon Industrial Tools with field usability in mind.
A pipefitter may want to visualize a spool before fabrication. A welder or fabricator may want a clearer representation of how fittings are oriented. A foreman may need to communicate a routing idea. An apprentice may be learning how fittings and pipe runs translate into an isometric drawing.
The same fundamental visual language connects all of those situations.
Understanding piping isometrics is also an important field skill. Workers who want to strengthen the fundamentals behind the drawings can continue through the Næxon Learning Center, where piping, fabrication, layout, drawings, fittings, testing, rigging, and other industrial subjects are covered in greater detail.
Modify the Model Instead of Starting Over
Field layouts change.
A valve may need to rotate. An elbow may need a different orientation. A branch may need to travel in another direction. A spool that looked straightforward on paper may need adjustment once the surrounding structure or equipment is considered.
Ayso is designed around that reality.
Components in the model can be selected and modified graphically. Rotation and flip controls allow the user to experiment with component orientation without rebuilding the entire drawing.
That ability becomes especially useful when working through different routing possibilities.
The goal is not simply to draw piping.
The goal is to make piping easier to visualize.
From Isometric Drawing to Fabrication Information
A piping drawing becomes more valuable when the information inside it can be organized.
Ayso therefore includes a Fabrication Schedule that is generated from the developing isometric.
As the model is built, Ayso can organize component information such as:
- Component type
- Pipe size
- Pipe length
- Direction
- Connections
This begins connecting the visual model with the information needed to understand what actually exists in the spool.
That relationship between drawing, dimensions, components, and fabrication data is an important part of where Næxon Industrial Tools are heading.
Ayso Is Part of a Larger Næxon Tool System
Ayso is not being developed as an isolated calculator.
It joins two other Næxon industrial programs already available online: Numerus Calculator and Rapit Pro.
Each tool addresses a different part of industrial piping work.
Numerus Calculator handles the numbers behind the work. It includes pipefitting and construction calculations for offsets, rolling offsets, fitting takeoffs, spool dimensions, flange geometry, pipe properties, flow, conversions, fabrication calculations, and other field math.
Rapit Pro focuses on pipe intersection development. It generates saddle and lateral patterns for round-pipe connections using pipe dimensions, branch angles, offsets, and fabrication information.
Ayso handles the visual side—building and manipulating the piping arrangement itself.
Together, the direction becomes much larger:
Calculate it. Develop it. Draw it. Build it.
Three Tools, One Industrial Workflow
Consider a pipefitter working through a fabricated spool.
The dimensions and geometry may first need to be calculated using Numerus Calculator.
If the spool includes a branch connection that requires a developed saddle or lateral pattern, Rapit Pro can help develop that connection.
The piping arrangement can then be visualized and organized using Ayso.
That creates the foundation for a connected Næxon workflow built specifically around industrial piping rather than a collection of unrelated calculators.
Why Næxon Built Ayso
There are extremely powerful plant-design platforms used throughout engineering and construction.
They are built for enormous projects and can manage extraordinary amounts of information.
But sometimes the person in the field does not need an entire plant-design environment.
Sometimes you simply need to communicate:
This pipe starts here. It travels this direction. There is an elbow here. The line rises here. The valve goes here. The branch comes off here. This is what the spool should look like.
Ayso is being developed for that space.
It brings the basic logic of piping isometric creation into a cleaner browser-based environment that can continue evolving around the people who actually fabricate and install piping.
Built to Keep Improving
The version of Ayso available today is the beginning rather than the end of the project.
Næxon intends to continue developing its industrial software around practical field workflows. Ayso, Numerus, and Rapit Pro establish the foundation for a broader ecosystem where calculations, piping geometry, fabrication information, and drawings can increasingly work together.
The objective is straightforward:
Build industrial tools that are powerful enough to be useful but simple enough that a tradesperson can open them and start working.
No unnecessary complexity.
No software installation just to experiment with a piping layout.
Just practical tools built around the work.
Try Ayso
Ayso – Piping Isometric Generator is now live.
Whether you are a pipefitter learning isometrics, a fabricator working through a spool, a foreman communicating a routing idea, or simply someone who works with industrial piping, we want you to put it to work.
Build a spool.
Rotate the fittings.
Change the route.
See what works.
And as Ayso continues to develop, so will the rest of the Næxon Industrial Tools ecosystem.
