This one will focus specifically on scaffold builders working around towers, vessels, exchangers, pipe racks, furnaces, reactors, elevated piping and congested refinery process units during maintenance and turnarounds.
The 10-tool lineup will include scaffold wrench/ratchet, spud wrench, scaffold hammer, tape measure, torpedo level, adjustable wrench, bull pin, tool tether system, inspection flashlight, and marking tool.
The refinery-specific sections will cover building around live equipment and piping, scaffold foundations, plumb and level, bracing, ties, decking, access, load capacity, dropped-object prevention, scaffold tags, modifications, working at height, confined refinery spaces, communication with other crafts, and why removing one brace or plank because it is “in the way” can affect the entire scaffold system.
